Name Recognition

Randy has a problem recognizing people. He tends to connect one physical trait with a person, then every time he sees someone with that trait, he confuses the two. Every petite brunette is Eva Longoria. Every skinny woman with big lips is Angelina Jolie.

Tonight we were watching TV and there was a commercial with a quick cameo from a black guy wearing glasses. Randy asked, "Isn't that the guy from Benson?"

Me: "No."

Randy: "Are you sure?"

Me: "Yes."

Randy: "It looks like him. What was his name? Robert Goulet, right?"

Me: (laughing uncontrollably) "Robert Goulet?!"

Randy: "What's so funny? Isn't that his name?"

I grabbed my phone, did some quick navigation, and showed him. "THIS is Robert Goulet."

Randy: (laughing now) "What was Benson's name?"

Me: "Robert Guillaume."

Randy: "I was close."

Me: "Not even in the same ballpark."

I'm not sure if these are supposed to be apostrophes or commas. Either way, they fail.
